An Android Look At: How to Install Blocked Apps

So you have a nifty Android gizmo. Now its time to fill your memory with available apps and install that blocked hack or app. Now traditionally this type of thing was difficult to do with other software but Android has graced us this new exciting open source OS.

DealExtreme would like to share with you the 3 best ways to download new and exciting apps to your phone.

1) Lets say you have access to the official Google Market, and you’re running through your service provider via 3G or what ever internet your carrier provides. Now you found the app but you just can’t seem to download it as your carrier won’t allow you to. So we will get the easiest process out of the way first!

-Step 1: Power down your mobile phone or Android tablet.

-Step 2: Remove your SIM card or cards.

-Step 3: Power your gadget back on.

-Step 4: Open up a Wi-Fi connection, and go to your app market.

-Step 5:  Download that previously inaccessible app.

-Step 5: Power down your device and, and replace the SIM card.

-Step 7: Power your device back on and enjoy that app.

You should now be able to use those apps that you wanted. This method is a common fix and is so simple even a baby can do it. Now let’s say you don’t have access to the Official Google Market, but you would like some Official Google Apps.

Luckily it’s almost as easy to download Official Google Apps without access to the Google Market. Here goes:

2)  Go to  OK simple right, I told you. Next type in the name of the application you want followed by the extension .apk  {.apk is the extension used for files that are android applications} So for example you can search out Plantsvszombies.apk or any other app you desire. This should find exactly the app you want.

3) So the next problem is you might not know what the name of the app is or what apps are available. Don’t worry there are options still available to you. For instance you can install a different android market.  Here is a detailed list of available alternate android apps:

Underlined ones have a client app. (others only a site)
Italic ones have payment services. (Others only free apps)

  • Google Android Market
  • SlideMe
  • AndAppStore
  • Handango
  • AndroidGear
  • Phoload
  • Mobihand
  • AppsLib
  • Insyde Market
  • NetDragon
  • KUQU
  • Noverca
  • GetJar
  • GO Market

DX hopes this information can help you get everything you want out of your Android Gizmo or Gadget and fully access those blocked or inaccessible apps anytime and anywhere.
